PrEP walk-in
We are pleased to offer limited walk-in slots each day for patients starting or continuing PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis against HIV). To secure a slot, we recommend arriving as early as possible, as these are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be aware that waiting times may vary and typically increase later in the day.
If you are concerned about potential HIV exposure and are not already on PrEP, you can walk in at any time to check whether you might need PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis). To find out if PEP is recommended for you, please visit this website: https://www.dean.st/tools/pep/.
Service improvements at the Jefferiss Wing
To improve our services and reduce waiting times, we are moving towards patient-initiated follow-ups for the PROUD PrEP service. This change will help minimise missed appointments and free up availability for those who need it.
If you have a pre-booked PROUD PrEP appointment in the coming months, you may receive a text notification informing you that your appointment has been canceled. Don’t worry—you can easily rebook your appointment using one of the following methods:

Please call 0203 312 1225 or book an appointment online if available.
We aim to see all symptomatic patients within 48 hours.
Follow our 5 easy steps for online bookings:
- click on the link in your registration email and enter the code you receive by text to activate your account
- you need to review and update your account details to allow you to make a booking
- then “Make New Appointment” by selecting the Sexual health button
- select appointment required Proud

You can get an online sexual health check-up with Sexual Health London or SH24. If you live in a borough where you are not able to obtain a free online testing kit, you can find your local service either through the NHS website.
