The Wharfside HIV emergency clinic is for the assessment of serious HIV-related problems that have just started or suddenly got worse
What to expect
Once you have contacted us, you will be given a video clinic appointment, usually on the same day. Please wait for us to join the call as the clinic can get very busy and we may be delayed. If you cannot use the video service, we will call your mobile phone.
Please have a list of current medications to hand.

Monday to Friday: Please call us between 09.00 and 13.00 on 020 3312 5253 and leave a message with your contact number that we can call you back on.
Out of hours (after 17.00 Monday to Friday or at weekends). If you need to contact the clinic urgently, please call 020 3312 6666 and ask for the HIV on call team.

Lines are open Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 17.00. Leave your name and contact number. A nurse will call you back.
Out of hours emergencies
If you are too unwell to wait and attend our clinic, seek urgent medical advice:
- Call 111 for an out of hours GP
- Or call 999 for an ambulance
Urgent medication requests
If you have less than two weeks of your HIV medication left:
Call 020 3312 5253, Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00.
If you have more than two weeks left:
