Visitor Information
Visiting restrictions are in place. Please call the ward to find out more. Find your hospital ward contact information:
Pre-operative
Before your planned surgery, we conduct a discussion about the planned procedure and stoma formation. Together with the patient, we identify and mark the most suitable site for the stoma.
In the hospital
During your hospital stay, we provide comprehensive inpatient stoma care, which includes:
- Training for patients and caregivers on stoma management
- Guidance on diet and fluid intake
- Advice on stoma products
- Coordination of stoma supplies and home delivery on dscharge
Discharge:
Following your discharge, we will arrange a follow-up phone call to monitor progress and address any concerns. A stoma clinic consultation will be arranged within two weeks of discharge, with further follow-ups scheduled according to the patient's needs.
Our goal is to support stoma patients throughout their journey, offering both psychological and practical assistance for day-to-day living and problem-solving. We have access to a wealth of written resources and can help connect you with additional support services.
