About
The vast majority of patients who have received a transplanted organ, such as a kidney transplant, require lifelong immunosuppressant medication to prevent rejection of the organ. These drugs increase the patient’s risk of developing skin cancer. Our transplant dermatology clinics provide skin cancer surveillance for high-risk patients, with treatment arranged as needed. See our skin cancer page for further information.
