NHS App
The NHS App is a free, simple and secure way for you to access a range of NHS services directly from your smartphone or tablet.
The NHS App provides a range of features, described below, to help you manage your healthcare effectively, and at any time. These include:

The NHS App is connected to our Care information exchange portal, Dr Doctor, so you can view your upcoming appointments and appointment letters.

View the date you were referred to our hospital

Viewing your medical records, including details of past test results and allergy information

Ordering repeat prescriptions, you can also choose a pharmacy for pick up, or delivery of your medication

Using the symptom checker tool, which also provides trusted information and advice on how to manage symptoms or conditions.

View and manage your organ donation preferences – you need to register to set your preferences.

Access the NHS Covid Pass, which may be required for travel or certain events.
How to access the NHS App
The NHS app is available on both iOS and Android platforms. The app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. You can also access the app on a desktop computer.
You will need to complete a registration process. You will need to verify your identity using photo ID (such as a passport or driver's license) and record a short video.
The app will automatically link to your NHS record, so that you can view GP and hospital information securely.
If you do not have a mobile device, you can still access some of the services through the NHS website.

You can use the app on a desktop computer.
If you have been referred to our hospital, we will contact you with an appointment date and time

If we have your mobile phone number, you will receive a text message with a link to view your appointment letter.

If you prefer to have your appointment letters posted, you can reply to the text message with the word PRINT, or you can call the number on your appointment letter to let us know.

If we have your mobile number, you can sign into the website http://my.drdoctor.co.uk/login/ich to view all your appointment letters. You will need to enter your name, date of birth, and postcode. We will send a one-time code to your mobile phone for security reasons.

If we have your email address, but not your mobile phone number, we will send you an email with a link to your appointment letter.

If we do not have your mobile phone number or email address, you will receive an appointment letter in the post.
Changing or cancelling your appointment
For some appointments we will send a text message where you can reply with the word ‘CHANGE’ or ‘CANCEL’. Please then follow instructions.
You can sign into the website https://my.drdoctor.co.uk/login/ich to cancel your appointment.
You can also call the number or use the email address on your appointment letter.
Alternatively contact our booking team between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday by calling 020 3313 5000. Or email: i.outpatientappointments@nhs.net.
If you don't contact us and you do not attend, you may be removed from the waiting list and may not be sent another appointment date.
