Find out how to refer patients to our oral surgery service. Please note the restorative density team does not accept external referral

Referral exclusions

Please note, if you are a General Practitioner or General Dental Practitioner, we do not accept referrals for the following conditions and treatments:

• Procedures requiring general anaesthetic or sedation
• Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction
• Facial pain
• Maxillofacial trauma
• Patients with suspected cancer (should be referred according to the cancer network guidelines)
• Patients under 16 years old
• Dental restorative issues
• Periodontal and prosthetic problems
• Complex oral medicine requiring specialist input

For any of the above conditions, please refer patients to the appropriate specialist or facility.
