Research & publications

Translational research: During his MD degree and specialty training in Italy, Dr Baldini worked on translational research projects focused on the pathogenesis of ischaemic events in immune-mediated vascular disease. He received travel grants to present at three European congresses, delivered three oral communications at national conferences, and authored twelve publications in peer-reviewed journals, including two as first author.

Clinical research in Italy: During his specialty training in Italy, he completed two clinical trials on new biologic drugs for immune-mediated disease as a local investigator and managed the feasibility assessment and budget agreement for two additional trials.

Clinical research in the UK: In 2023, he coordinated a team of trainees to produce a series of videos for a clinical trial on consent in anaesthesia, ideated by Trust consultants. This involved drafting the scripts with trainee colleagues and directing the filming with a professional video producer.
