Background
Mr Abboudi is a consultant urological surgeon and Clinical Governance Lead for urology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
He specialises in diagnosis, management and prevention of kidney stone disease, prostate conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), recurrent urinary tract infections and bladder cancer.
He has expertise in minimally invasive techniques to treat kidney stones and prostate diseases such as ureteroscopy and laser fragmentation of stones, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP), urolift, iTIND, rezum and laser ablation of bladder tumours (TULA).
Mr Abboudi is actively involved in medical student and post graduate education and holds a formal degree in medical education. Mr Abboudi is committed to advancing urological care through research and innovation. He has published extensively on urological conditions and techniques and has been awarded a number of postgraduate research prizes. His research interests include health technology, simulation training and improving patient safety.

Kidney stone prevention and treatment (including laser ureteroscopy and lithotripsy); benign prostate disease (including laser treatment - HoLEP, Urolift and Rezum water vapour therapy); recurrent urinary tract infections; bladder cancer; urothelial cancer of the ureter and kidney, ureteric stricture disease.
Research & publications
Mr Abboudi has a strong academic background and as such has been awarded a number of postgraduate research prizes. He serves as a peer reviewer for several urological journals and has published and presented his research at national and international conferences.

He has an interest in health technology, simulation training and medical innovation and has developed a number of systems to improve patient safety and care at the hospitals he has worked in.
