Background
Dr Frances Sanderson studied medicine in Cambridge and Oxford. She has completed a PhD in immunology, an MSc in epidemiology (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) and the diploma in tropical medicine and hygiene. Before taking up her consultant post, Dr Sanderson held a Senior Fellowship with the Lister Institute and a Career Development Grant with the Medical Research Council for research on malaria vaccines.
