Background
Dr Ernie Wong is a respiratory and general medical physician and the clinical lead for asthma. After graduating from Imperial College School of Medicine, he completed specialist training in respiratory and general internal medicine. He trained at St George's Hospital, King's College Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital respectively. He was awarded a PhD at Imperial College London, investigating the role of the lung microbiome in virus-induced asthma exacerbations. He is an honorary clinical senior lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.
