Background
Dr Carla Plymen trained at Guy's & St Thomas' Medical Schools and qualified in 2001. She completed MRCP (UK) in 2004 and entered higher specialty training in cardiology thereafter. She received her CCT in 2015 and has been leading the Heart Failure team at Imperial College Healthcare since 2016 as a Consultant in Cardiology. She is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, and a Fellow of the Heart Failure Association (ESC). She is also the North London lead for Heart Failure within the NL Cardiac ODN.
She leads a geographically extensive integrated heart failure service in North West London, covering both acute and community services.
