Background
Dr Adam Gassas is a full-time paediatric consultant in Imperial College Health Care NHS Trust and the lead for paediatric specialties in St Mary’s Hospital.
He completed his paediatric training in different hospitals in London, UK including Great Ormond Street Hospital, St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital. Following the membership of the UK Royal College of physicians and the UK Royal College Paediatrics and Child Health, Dr Gassas obtained further training and fellowship in SickKids, Toronto, Canada in paediatrics, paediatric haematology/oncology and paediatric stem cell transplantation. This was followed by a consultant post in Sickkids, Toronto, Canada for 12 years. Upon return to UK, Dr Gassas spent five years as a director of a large paediatric programme in Bristol, UK.
Academically, Dr Gassas is the lead investigator of many paediatric research studies including national and international multi centre prospective studies that has led to many practices’ improvement in all aspects of paediatrics. He has published more than 80 original research articles in high impact medical journals.
Dr Gassas offers services to newborn, children, adolescents and young adults with any potential paediatric medical complaint. He advises, investigates and treat all children problems and has expertise in general paediatrics, complex paediatric problems, haematology/oncology and stem cell transplantations, autologous and allogeneic, to treat cancers and serious blood disorders.
