Resurfacing works affecting Du Cane Road near Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea hospitals
Starting on Monday 28 March until Friday 1 April, Du Cane Road, W12 will be closed overnight to traffic from Artillery Lane to Wood Lane while resurfacing work is carried out by Hammersmith and Fulham Council. To minimise disruption, work will be carried out in sections over five nights between 20.00-05.00.
Access and exit to and from hospital will be remain open and accessible for all vehicles via Old Oak Common Lane. All emergency ambulances will continue to access the hospital from both directions.
Although the plans are intended to keep disruption to a minimum, please note that they will impact staff, patients and visitors as follows:
- maternity patients will only be able to access the hospital from the Old Oak Common Lane direction
- the exit from the hospital will only be available towards the Old Oak Common Lane
- no public transport will be available on Du Cane Road. Patients, staff and visitors arriving and leaving between 20.00-05.00 will need to seek alternative transport or walk to Wood Lane for diverted bus routes
- parking restrictions and suspensions will be in place on Wood Lane, so please check signs for available parking
