Imperial College Healthcare recognised as an Innovation and Impact 110 organisation by Upstream
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust been recognised as an Innovation and Impact 110 (II110) organisation by Upstream, a partnership between Imperial College London and Hammersmith & Fulham Council.
II110 is a publication that shines a spotlight on Hammersmith & Fulham’s ultimate list of change-makers and pioneers, who are having a significant impact in their field. The Trust has been included in this new list of innovators alongside an impressive list of individuals and organisations such as BBC Studios, The Royal College of Art, and Novartis UK.
“We were overwhelmed with nominations for the Innovation and Impact II110 publication celebrating organisations across White City Innovation District, Shepherd’s Bush, Hammersmith and Fulham across the tech, science and creative fields. All of the organisations featured in the II110 publication are forces of nature, who have made a positive impact in their field. We want to shine and light on these innovations and celebrate their achievements,” Managing Director, Prema Gurunathan, Upstream.
At the launch reception key speakers including Dr Samin Saeed, CSO and Medical Director of Novartis UK and Professor Maggie Dallman, VP and Associate Provost at Imperial College London took the opportunity to network with other disruptors, B corps, game-changers and problem-solvers from the science, tech and creative ecosystem as well as the charities making a difference in the area.
Commenting on the recognition, Dr Bob Klaber, director of strategy and innovation said: "At Imperial College Healthcare we highly value our partnerships with our local community and this includes local businesses, councils and our local populations, as well as our academic partner, Imperial College London. Being recognised by the Upstream partnership as part of the first II110 highlights the importance of healthcare organisations as anchors in the community, and this is a role we strive to continue developing."
